Re: OLFSL 2011 Season.
I thought reversed was with 90 degree turn after S/F line, but it was the other way round. Once upon a time I in fact raced this particular combo in OLFSL. Looking at my setups, it must've been year 2007.
I already told Ant and Izzy that its going to be a nightmare for tyres that 30 laps of rallycross, but I seem to have to race setups for the combo. They are old and I think physics have changed a bit since 2007, but at least they should give us a starting point. I won't probably have the time until weekend, but I'll test those setups then.
Here are all my sets for BL2 & BL2R: Rally setups
(Judging by the name, kisa and kisa2 sets are meant for longer races as kisa translates to race)
@Colt: Thanks, it's very nice to race with so many cabbies in a good league

Hehe .
Just found the OLFSL back in 2007 (11.2.2207) from my racing history. It was 40 laps with RB4@BL2R. It was 40 laps and lap times seemed to be about three seconds longer than currently.
Funny thing was that AtomAnt was in same race

Re: OLFSL 2011 Season.
I added my new PB setup from last weekend to http://www.student.oulu.fi/~markusso/LFS/RB4_BL2R/.
Named BL2RmauniPB . Ant's set is faster through first sector, but this is very good for the second sector. Feel free to improve it
EDIT: Just did some testing and it seems to be faster if centre differential is reduced to 17-18...
EDIT2: I borrowed most of the differential settings from Ant's set and it's much faster. I did 1.03.58 in hotlap mode. Setup updated to the site of mine.

I'm just flying through the first sector, did a super quick 28:65 but blew it in the last sector.
Dead men racing is now set to BL2R for daily races @ 18:00 GMT 22:00 GMT

Re: OLFSL 2011 Season.
Grids are out for the next event. We have cabbies in all but pool 1. I'm starting third in pool 2, Ant eighth in pool 3 and Rookie seventh in pool 4.
Good luck for your races mates . I hope mine lasts longer than half a lap this time

Re: OLFSL 2011 Season.
Got a handle on clutch tires, fuel. I will be fine and earn my points. This is a hard car without a stick shift, makes that last corner a handful.
We (as a team) are holding our own. Real life needs to be tended to, when push comes to shove,
"always count on your local cab driver to see you through"
What we should do is have as many cab drivers out for the BF1 event and wipe the season with them.
IRacing is great, LFS BF1 is not that bad. By the rules, we can place drivers at any point in the season, might be fun to see the look on some peeps faces.
OCT , lots of time to discuss.

RB4@BL2R
Well I rolled the car about lap 11, I am pretty sure I busted the suspension on the corner before, surprisingly, I hobbled to the pits and after a 32sec pit stop was back out and racing. Finished 9th (better know as last)
Mauni breezed through his race, I think he led all but 1 lap. Great pool 2 win Mauni

Re: OLFSL 2011 Season.
Had a shockingly bad race.
Pulled to the side on the laglap and was fine.
On the real start I kept position and got pushed around in T1.
Caught up to the pack quickly to be flipped over by Russ a few laps later when I tried to overtake him. It broke my suspension and cost me a near full minute pitstop.
I resumed the race last, 1 lap down on everyone.
Started to unlap myself with the backmarkers but got served a wall which set me back some more.
Kept my head cool and ended up in 8th place, 2 laps down from the winner.
Beat my BP, got it down to 1:05:00 ...
I wonder where I would have been if I didn't get flipped over.
Ah well... onto the next round, thank god no Rally.
Thx for the sets Ant / Mauni, it really helped a lot.
See you all next event.

Re: OLFSL 2011 Season.
I started 3rd. On the start pole position guy from HR team started way too early and got spectated. Paracelcus besides me got also a bad start and I managed to pass him before T1 giving me the first place.
Apparently I was quicker than companion and held my lead (easily ) right to the finish line. I also got the fastest lap, half a second faster than next guy

Re: OLFSL 2011 Season.
Passing on the next 2 events.
Not liking the combo for the next event ... and the event after is on my wedding anniversary so I won't be racing that day.
Getting up at 2-5 am on a Monday morning is becoming too much at the moment.
Good luck all

Re: OLFSL 2011 Season.
Watched Pool 4 replay.
Nice to see Ant finish and bring good points home for the team.
Sad to see Russ Reeno have another crash with someone who was making a clean move on him ...
starting to annoy me after the plain rude and brainless rejoin he pulled on me last event.
Wish I could have been here to race, but Real Life got in its way.
Ista flipped his car in lap 15, bad luck
Mauni took 3rd place in the last few corners, great racing

Re: OLFSL 2011 Season.
Well i must say, I'm a wee bit ashamed of myself for today, no excuse why i should not have won that event. That being said, on lap 1 I took the last corner before the straight and caught the wind, sent my car into what i thought was a little wiggle and indeed that is all it was HOWEVER, while throwing the wheel from side to side trying to regain control I managed to off set my wheel by 45 degrees, drove the other 29 laps that way and believe me when i say , it was not fun.
I haven't watched the flip by IZZY, but i heard it was outstanding.
Mauni had a great finish with Dee slider ( one of our friends from DMR) it was a mad dash to the finish line...guess Mauni thought it was the Finnish line because he owned it...lol.
Don't know how we did it but we have still got 9th place right behind KA Racing and I'm 2 points behind my biggest rival Solar Hydro.
Thanks again to all who raced for SCCC today weather it was on LFS or Iracing.
TEAM HUG.

Re: OLFSL 2011 Season.
I've uploaded one setup to the site of mine: http://www.student.oulu.fi/~markusso/LFS/
I've done a 1:03:55 with it with R3 tyres. For some reason I'm not any faster on R2 tyres Better time would be very much possible, I loose quite a bit time in some corners when compared to WR (almost one second on the two corners in last sector).
BTW, I've been comparing my driving to WRs with LFS replay analyzer. It's great and easy to use tool to see where you are losing time. It has helped me to concentrate more on the corners where I'm losing time. Sometimes you get those "Oh that's how it should go" moments, when struggling with a combo. It also shows suspension settings from WRs.
I'll e-mail you AA

Re: OLFSL 2011 Season.
Since I start work on Monday morning, I will have to retire from the OLFSL season early.
I need to get up at 5am every day, so it's no longer possible for me to participate in any of the events as they are usually between 1-4 am Monday morning.
I would have loved to drive the UF1, but it's not going to happen.
I'll keep an eye on the events and check in here but life's going to get a lot busier for me
Take care all, good luck with the rest of the season.
I parked my car in the SCCC secure parking, see you online some time in the future

Re: OLFSL 2011 Season.
Today's event was uf1@ky3 with high wind. I raced in pool 2 with our new comer Gerrit.
I started 13th and got pass two guys right at the start, because they apparently had too long gears and left off very slowly. During first laps I managed to rise some more mainly by passing them in fair racing.
After some laps I was 7th right behind M.Pirnes and Y.Laprevotte. Had a very good race with them for about 4 laps. Finally on lap 7 I got pass them after intensive place swapping. 4th place was already long gone so all I had to do was to keep the gap for the two racers behind to secure fifth place.
