A new track in LFS?
Hi all!
Today I was browsing the LFS Forum (as so often) and I stumbled over a thread where it said that Rockingham (a REAL track in the UK) is used in LFS. I didn´t really believe in any new track until the 292nd post. Pictures of a FOX (yes they´re blurry), but you can still see that the map on the screen is defenatly not one of the tracks that are currently included in LFS. Link the thread post WITH pictures! -> http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?p=1266222#post1266222

Good to get some more news...
It's S3 content . I wonder what else they have in minds for S3. I don't think S3 release will be just one track .
Place your bets, when is it coming out?
I quess tyre physics before X-mas and S3 early 2010

So this is what kept them from telling us the whole story , i dont appreciate the S3 money call thing but if the physics are improved i certainly will buy it .
I still think a developpers blog with regular updates would avoid all the speculations and deceptions on the LFS forum.

It is official

(click the small images for bigger sized ones or check here for some)
New track (real one), new car (Sirocothingy) and another new car will be opened. Also a word about S3 ... curious how things will go.

Re: A new track in LFS?
Honestly, im not against paying a bit our LFS devs.
I play for years and its not so expensive.
So, im ok to give them some money.
Lets wait now.

I don´t have anything against that either. And if it´s a 12 pound upgrade again it´s still a fair price. It´s only 36 pounds then, which isn´t more than any simbin title or something. And I think it´s a better spend of money because I tried so many sims and only ever felt home in LFS. It´s the feel LFS gives you, and with that feel I don´t just mean the physics, I mean the feel it gives you. I sit there on a server chatting a bit (you may know that I´m a chatty person) racing, having fun with mates. I never had that in rFactor or Race07 or anything else. I think LFS is just diffrent. For me the graphics look great not sterile like in rFactor or Race07. LFS always had it´s own way, and the devs always had their own way, and I like that. With the screenshots Scawen posted all the moaners about Eric and that he isn´t actually doing anything at all should shut up. Looks like a great track. Textures look very nice mostly, it´s clearly to see that it isn´t finished yet, but hey, Rome wasn´t build in a day either. What I also noticed is that S3 should finally be up to Direct X9. Should give me some better graphics so I can make some nice high-res screenshots for ya lot. I also have the slight sence that the car models will sort of change abit probably and that our skins won´t fit properly anymore. Colt should have some extra work then, but I also think such a new patch would defenatly give him some motivation. I think the future will bring LFS really back up ahead of all it´s "rivals" (you can´t actually call rCraptor a rival, can you?). I´m really looking forward to it. The only thing that I´ve got to get used to is the fact that the graphics are better now. To every LFS´er is will look kinda wrong because we had the current graphics engine for so long and, atleast I, got so used to it that I can´t imagine it being changed. I think it won´t be difficult to get used to, but I think it will take some time. Same thing as last year when patch Z got released and the XRT wheels got updated. I took a whole month to get used to them. Now I think they look great and I don´t like the old ones anymore.
I really hope that all the stuff coming in the future will lead into more activity on the cabbie front. Would atleast be nice to see.
PS: I hope it´s not too much to read for Sprinter if he pops by and sees my post.

Yeah, looks good for some heavy XFR-UFR or TBO racing or some XF GTi only racing.
