Re: New season of the OLFSL
We dont really have a new skin for it , it is totally different from the tin top ones and it s a lot of work adapt it to open wheelers .
I guess you will use the 09 or 08 ones.

Re: New season of the OLFSL
Just PB'd with a 36:98 offline.
Did a 37:05 online on the quali server.
I'll need to get used to driving laps like that so i can quali in the 36's.
Still have 10 quali laps to go

Re: New season of the OLFSL
Grids are out for KY Oval, still no word on weather, good job on pool 2 GC, and way to go Rookie, we're logged in team cp for race.
Good luck guys.
Watch weather, high wind is a brute with this car.

Well, it doesn´t hurt you much except for the last turn. If there are cross winds and you´re steering you might end up with a spin/slide.

Re: New season of the OLFSL
I have the same problem GC, my quali set lasts the full 10 laps before the tires explode.
I haven't raced since the day i did my quali lap and i doubt i will even race this monday morning due to work/real life being busy.

KY Oval Report
Started 4th, was doing good and really was happy with the set, then sure enough, lap 2 and some guy doesn't even look and just hammers me onto the grass. I was a bit lucky because I popped back up onto the track , cars everywhere, and i manage to take no further.
Limped to pits and had to wait almost 2 laps till car was repaired, came back on in 17th, but I worked my back up to 10th by the finish.
Drove almost 40 laps alone...BORING.
Have a good day gents.

p.s. if you get a minute. check out the replay over at the OLFSL site, pool 4 for me and pool 2 for GC

Re: New season of the OLFSL
I grabbed the replay for Pool 2, but there isn't any for Pool 3-4 in the replay section atm.
I''ll try again tomorrow after work.

Re: New season of the OLFSL
Admire how I got crashed in turn 1 and the 76th lap... amateur racing really, unworthy of OLFSL and pool 2. Managed a 11th spot though I believe.

Re: New season of the OLFSL
Yeah that turn 1 crash was just crazy. That's something AI cars would do, but a real person? Damn.
The last lap seems to have confused people.
I saw Thunderdome stop on the raceline, you collected him and SolarHydro died instantly. WTF? thats things i did not expect to see in a league race.
I'm happy i did not race that day as my lag would have caused mayhem (not that i'd have fun turn left for that long and listen to the engine scream).
I'm hoping i can see Ants race soon.
See you in a OLFSL race one day GC, i'm convinced i'll fit 1 in with real life soon.

Re: New season of the OLFSL
Placed 5th on the grid in pool 3, will do my best to finish on the podium.
Wish me luck, OLFSL 3 at 1730 GMT if anyone wishes to watch VIA lfs remote.

Re: New season of the OLFSL
How did it go Ant ?
I lacked time to submit a decent qualy lap, thus missed the event.

Re: New season of the OLFSL
Well I had a mech failure here with my pedals, and some guy ran over my front wing, was the slowest car out there, but i did finish.
How you doing on this next qual?

Re: New season of the OLFSL
Not too good, no time to train for it. Fully focusing on GTAL (and even that is with low racing time). Don't think I'll do OLFSL races anymore this season, exams getting akwardly fast too close...

Re: New season of the OLFSL
This will be a fun race, TY Lake for the set. TY Colt for the skin. TY Cabbies for having me. That being said.
I found my way into pool 2 tomorrow, this is what LFS is about....I will be racing with Peeps i've known from then till now.
We( us guys in pool tomorrow), here in the C+ to B- drivers don't mind...No offense Lake, you're a great driver and have made many close friends in group A sometimes...dude it's A+ for you.
Hell , I'm a race closer than 1st and second overall...I'm in a OLFSL race that has taken 6 years...Solar hydro and I ...2 pts apart...he starts just in front of me...here's the wild thing...50% of the field has raced each other for more than 3 years.
This is what it's about, Lake set for this is like butter...smooth...and tastes good ofter being in the sun for 48 min.
Only me driving for SCCC in OLFSL...we're 14 of 70...represent

Re: New season of the OLFSL
Last row of pool 2, which is a good spot on AS3, high wind in the FXR, no pit required so I'm going to run r4/r3 and try not to get hit.
If you want to watch LFS remote...it's OLFSL 1 server starting at 17:30 GMT, I'll be the one in the sexy skin...going to make you all proud today.
AAnt
EDIT: finished last, broke the spring for the gas pedal, had to use my left foot to lift it everytime I wanted to brake...but at least i finished...lapped by every racer...TWICE

Re: New season of the OLFSL
Just did a few offline laps and 1 qualy lap for OLFSL.
I'm kinda liking that combo.
Do we have a skin for this or are we using the 2010 one?
Btw, anyone have a setup? I just downloaded some FE sets and threw the car around corners to get a laptime :p
Gonna practice some more offline .. i really wanna do this next race.

Re: New season of the OLFSL
We have an RB4 skin, I have an ok set for that combo, it slips and slides but any set will do that at FE3R.
Catch you online and send you the set.
Nice seeing you Rookie, hope all is well down under

Re: New season of the OLFSL
Thx, yeah all is fine here down under
Btw, any chance you can put that setup online and post it in the private section?
Less than 2 days to go till the race and i only have a qualy set that will last me 5 laps
