Re: OLFSL 2010
Glad i joined for the test race cause i had a great time.
Had a decent start (didn't crash or pull over :p ) .. all went well till i locked my front left after the big straight and had to correct a slide and went offroad.
Had to let everyone pass me and switched to tire saving mode.
It all paid off cause most people crashed or spun
I started to climb and was driving 4th for a while.
Spun the car when i went around Ista's slowed down car and lost a place.
Planned my pitstop around lap 12/13 and it went smooth, didn't lose a spot at all and had a clear track.
Lost another spot when i was lapped and a HR Alien was behind me so i let him pass me.
He pitted later so i regained the spot, saved the tires, didn't crash and took home a 5th place.
Had fun,
too bad family things are preventing me from racing for real tomorrow.
Good luck all.

Been watching the replays from the pools,
OMG what a crashfest.
So many crashes and cars that spun and flipped .... pffft the appeals list will be 5 pages long LOL.
Still sad i had to miss it
Nice to see ANT have more luck than last night.
Ista had bad luck

Re: OLFSL 2010
Well I finished the race in 10th, got us some points, was not great having the wind up in the FBM, really slows that car down. I had my fair share of spins but managed not to crash anyone or smash up the car.
Now we get the GTR's on the longest track, this will be a great race for SCCC.
Have a great day gents.

Oh yah about yesterday, Izzy and I we're trying out SKYPE while driving, it's useless, and I had a friend over and lets just say the Beer was flowing quite freely

Re: OLFSL 2010
Had a look at the next combo today.
DAMMMNNNNNN ! What a track !
Tried all 3 cars and I'm having ALL the trouble in the world to get the FXR and XRR around that track at all.
The FZR feels so much better ... just having some annoying oversteer trouble in certain corners.
Man thats gonna be a killer unless we get some goods sets

Re: OLFSL 2010
Season's over ... my 2nd race is still going in Pool 4 ... but I was taken out by force ... need to wait for the replay to see what happened but I think someone wanted to end his season with a BANG
Race 1 was fun, was 3rd for a bit until i lost control and collided with DD-CapMan ... I pulled over and let everyone pass till he was in front of me and resumed my race.
Was able to climb upto 4th place.
Race 2 looked to be ok (i was damn fast at the start again) ... had a little slide in T1 again and was 6th braking for the slow corner when i think someone went flatout into the back of me ... dunno, replay will tell.
So I died and my race was over.
Big thx to the hosts and everyone involved, enjoyed this season.
Looking forward to racing in it again when it returns

Re: OLFSL 2010
Just watched the replay and [Mik]Mik rammed me out of the race (he aimed for K.Johansen but missed).
Very sad to see my season end this way ... filed a complaint for obvious ramming.

Re: OLFSL 2010
I would like to thank all the mechanics for providing sets and fixing my car after the various incidents during practice and races.
I would like to give a special thanks to our dedicated artist for designing the skins and endless hours of repainting my scratched cars.
Big thx to all other cabbies for showing me how its done.
Well done all.
Yes Ant, i'd love to try and join another league because i think its gonna be a long while before OLFSL returns.

Re: OLFSL 2010
Well we finished 8th in the team standings which is just great, lots of teams had many more drivers than us.
On a personal note, the rivalry between me and Solar Hydro ( 5 years in the making) ended this year with me nudging him out by 2.3 points, that is a really small margin in the OLFSL. Looks like he's buying the beer.
With Wakeys strong finish in the last race of the year, he kicked my Butt, but IZZY really came through for us, giving us a driver in the top 25.
Rookie has really improved his starts and will be a force in the next season, standings are now posted on the OLFSL home page, drop by and see how your fellow cabbies did.
GO SCCC!

Re: OLFSL 2010
Yeah grats to all of us !
Indeed my starts have been getting better (just need to brake in time for T1 now).
Feeling a lot more confident with less force feedback (which I changed around race 4).
Missed 2 races (1 cause I forgot the season started and the 2nd due to real life things), but I had an OK season.
Gonna be there again next time and hope to bring in points every race.
Enjoy summer (or winter) !
See you online in LFS or iRacing ...

Re: OLFSL 2010
Just got around to reviewing your pool 4 race 2 Rookie, at least the SOB got himself banned for life for taking you out like that. I never expected to see anything like that in OLFSL, and I'm really sorry it had to happen to such a considerate driver as yourself.
For those of you who haven't seen what happened to Rookie, the replay is over on OLFSL..Pool 4 Race 2...and man did he get whooped.
Let me know your Iracing name please chaps, so I can find you
