Hmm i guess it really depends on which league we want to join then to setup the car (% of intake restriction, added weight ...)
I think i'll check some leagues and modify my car's setup and get a good idea of what it all does in offline races.

Why not have a session on the "[SR] Race Server 1" now? They run the new chicane layout and it´s really nice once you´ve find out how to drive threw there. If you want the session just post here. And give me about 5 minutes to get there. Oh, and btw better put that server name in the "join specific host" thing and connect otherwise you might don´t find it. Wink

- Server: Aw, Popeye just left on hollidays... We have a server with 500, it expires at 19th August 2009 (so very soon). Not much Cabbies raced on it so... Now, perhaps it is possible to use another team their server (T73, nfinity) ... we Cabbies are old and got spies...Err, contacts everywhere pirat I'll ask around for that so we can avoid payments from our side.

- Voice chat: Why not use Skype ? Free, fast, easy ? It also has a normal chat which really does not (cause) lag, unlike MSN or such likes. Ventrillo is fine too, got to find me a mic then though.

- Training: Good idea about following along the MoE / IGTC remaining dates and times to see if it is possible. From September on I can focus more on this, currently I lack time. I also propose to do some general 2 hour events for SCCC with AI for example, train the GTR class more (I barely drive it) and those bigger GTR tracks and how we do the take-overs, ...

Or the Sonicrealms Server, they´re public aswell, and they run a chicane layout which is probably not that much diffrent to the one that they might run in a race. Maybe we should have a look at the stream of NDR´s event today to see how the cars in each class perform. Very Happy

I had a pretty good session. Sorted out a GT1 race setup, a GT2 race setup and a GT2 qual setup. All for FZR. Car feels great now. Very Happy

Oh and I just noticed that the NDR event is tomorrow not today. Embarassed

I know what I´ll do now. I´ll make some setups for both classes for XRR and FXR @ KY3. I´ll put them in a .zip-file and make them available to all of you. Maybe we could meet up then on our server. But not tomorrow. I´ll be busy watching the stream tomorrow, having a look at the effect the balancing changes have.

If someone wants to talk with me, go to the [SR] Race Server 1. I´ll be there. Wink

Ok. I spoke to DeadWolfBones (MoE admin, organiser IGTC). 2010 season is not set yet, however he adviced us to sign in for the 2009 season. Little chance of actually racing due to the waiting list, however... it gives us another leap ahead for the acceptance in 2010 season Wink.

From what I got our current Endu Team looks like:

- GC
- Rookie41
- D2007
- AtomAnt
I'll add in Popeye and Lake as back-up drivers.

What I need to know is:

- Full names (initial for surname, full name): eg. G. Collier
- What car do we pick ? XRR ? FZR ? FXR (to keep it easy and slow) ?

Lake > Any chance for a seperate SCCC Endurance section please ?

Cheers,

Names and so on shouldn´t be a problem. Car? Well it´s pratically impossible that we will already race in South City. FXR? I´d say no because AS4 is such a long track and the longer the track the slower the FXR. FZR? If Ant has problems with that it shouldn´t be taken either. XRR? Well, AS4 has no really slow turns, so the XRR should be ok. I could try and make some good setups for it.

My full name just for note: D.Engel (Deutschland2007) DEU or GER

You guys pick the car, i'll adapt to whatever you chose Smile

I was faster with the FXR around Ky3 than the FZR/XRR ... but the 4th gear powerslides (due to the default race setup i think) weren't great for endurance racing.
And yeah i do have clutch issues as i still have a MoMo wheel, no G25 Crying or Very sad
(Using auto gears for next OLFSL race Embarassed as i want to drive the FZR)

My name: R.Siebens

KY3 has some slow turns. AS4 hasn´t got any really slow ones. It´s only in the slow turns when it gets beasty. XRR has a sequiential gearbox, so you don´t have to worry about your clutch temperature. And btw rookie, what should GC put there as nationality? Australian or Dutch. Razz

1.
http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?p=1238007#post1238007

I made fake names for Lake and Colt, noted them down as back-up together with Popeye. You never know that Lake is online and ready for a short alien fast stint alien or that I got an online problem and Popeye can replace me (same timezone). Sprinter has no good internet afaik so I did not add him, however that can always be adjusted. Same for Reman, Houba,... We're now on the official waiting list, though it'll be doubtful that we can race. Which is good as we're not ready yet Laughing

2.
For the car I choose the XRR, I'm not fast with it but it is a stable and easy to learn car. Mind the tyres and we're okay. No gearing issues, low fuel consumption and our XRR 2008 skin is great, so that's good.

3.
For our skin, see the skins topic.

4.
Stays: Lake, can you make a seperate section please for endurance racing (and private Wink) ? Thanks!

5.
For our training, I got time from 2nd of September for good and lenghty training sessions, I propose to organise two-three 2 hours events then. Each event we analyze everything (sets, what went good, wrong, communication ,...) and in october we can do a 4 hour internal event ? Perhaps organise it together with some other teams if they provide the server. Regarding our 2 hour trainings, looking for a server, sending the PMs out now.

2: XRR is fine. I'll have to learn to shift with it but i'm sure i will get the hang of it.

3: Can't wait.

4: Yes plz!

5: 2nd of September is fine for me.

And Lake? Can this thread be moved into the new endurance section? I think it would be a better place for it. Wink

I can´t even post in the right thread. :X I was watching the stream of the NDRC/LFSBC. In GT1 the FZR with the 2% restriction and the 20kg was compared to it´s normal pace absolute rubbish. XRR got pole in GT1. Even if they´d lose the 20kg they wouldn´t be much quicker. I think XRR was a good choice. Don´t think that the MoE admins can ignore this. I´d say the new MoE balancing for the GT1 FZR will only have a restriction instead of weight penaltys. Why I say this when we´ll race in IGTC? Well IGTC normally has the same balancing than MoE. Don´t think there will be any changes this season, but I think next year it´s gonna look abit diffrent.
