What Aant said :

Ok fill me in, what do I need to get started? Cost is a factor, but I wouldn't be pleased not having at least a modest car.

Am I wrong in assuming this is a class system, where you have to drive so much in order to move up in cars.
These promotions, do any of them provide a demo version for a few weeks to try it out.

LFS is dieing in a big time hurry, it's always the same stuff, some team makes a great league and then they go and change all the rules and ruin it.

Cargame made you work up in safety ratings and sure enough, as soon as i got to the GTR class the put the restrictions on the cars, I think it's mostly because these i year drivers can't do more than 2 laps in the FZR or GTR without frying the tires.

The other day i watched Mauni drive the biggest tire eating car, and compared to me and Istabraq his tires were cool and had tons of grip, Istabraq is also great at keep the tires cool and grippe, me I brake way to hard and fry them in no time.

I think most of my issue is not being able to use clutch to go from 4th to second (I have to go through 3rd in paddle shifting and I believe this is where my problem occurs.

Is there anyway I can get on a server to watch you gents race. or is there a replay system where you could show a race between you and Colt.

On important note, the FZR skin has gotten alot of comments about the MOMO bee on the front end, Colt does great work.

If no one noticed I got into quite a rant with BBT from the old NASSA team, no other racer gets under my skin more as within 2 weeks of joining the whole team collapsed and for reasons of religion at that.

So If you happen to see that rant and want to reprimand me for my actions, I will take my licks and offer apologizes where needed.

I had no wish to see that Koran Burning item come onto LFS forum, the mods should have prevented such a world wide debate, it get out of control so I fought the thread with utter non sense.

If I have become an embarrassment to the team for this, I will follow any guide lines the team wishes me to follow.

The I HATE YOU thread was put up to show people that it's getting so bad a thread like that seemed the next logical step. I did keep it clean and said i hate Tomba for being such a safe clean driver, and living in such a great country...but with all things forum, it just gets twisted..

So send me what you can to help me assess IRacing and i'll sell off some toys for cash.

What Colt answered :

Well for iracing all you need is money Very Happy you get the basic content, 3 road cars and 1 oval plus a bunch of tracks. If you first want to try it buy one month and see if it fits what you expect, try to drive the solstice first as it's the easiest one.
The most important part is to try to keep it clean and improve your safety rating, do a lot of practice sessions where safety rating is not changed and a race when you feel you are ready.

For the forums arguing i personnaly dont take it too serious as it's only internet and it tends to bring up people's dark side easily. There are lots of funny pictures depicting what arguing on internet is and i agree with most of them.

Yes you must admit to spend a bit pf money for Iracing.

But as we said, you dont need all content.

At the beginning try the Solstice and important thing, drive at you own rythme.

Dont try to be the first or something.

Just try to drive cleanly, you will start to be fast later.

Iracing need practice.

Even for me, if i dont drive Solstice for weeks, i need to make many laps to get the feeling back.

Another car for starting is maybe the Skip barber even its not the one i prefer, its sliding a lot but with practice you will have pleasure.

If you have any questions about what track buying or car, dont hesitate to ask us.

To finish, you have a friend finder system as well.

On the main webpage on top right corner you will see "driver lookup".

You can type some of our real name (Pascal M. for me and Laurent C. for Colt)

Then, when you oput your mouse on our helmet you can choose "add friend" etc...

Dont worry if you feel a bit lost in menu at the beginning, this will be clearer later too.

Maybe we will see us sometimes Wink
