I always enjoy the little MRT, it's a fun car to zip around in. I remember some good races with popeye and Tukko in that little car.

Oh yah the Big "M" used to give me a great race as well.

I love the MRT, it's very fun to drive ... just lacks a reverse gear for when you stuff up Laughing

Qualy for next event is done ... got pretty close to your time Ant Smile
Time to work on keeping the car and tires in 1 piece for 30 laps ... oh dear.

Anyone already have a race-setup? Embarassed

-edit-
There's 20 grid spots on the track btw, so it looks like we will have 5 pools ...

Pffft not happy ...
was driving along around 17th place when *bam disconnected* ...
frigging shit router decided to reset connection for a split second ... bah

So annoyed cause i was doing fine ... tires were OK .. was having fun ... bleh.

-edit-
was looking at a good 220 points there ... now i get 107 for a DNF ... No

And Ant, I'm currently still in Europe so the OLFSL servers are really close ...
No idea why i got DC'd .. same thing happened yesterday before the race @ KA Server ...
I'm on ADSL, restarted everything before the race so I have no clue it dropped me .. haven't had any DC issues in the last 3 months. Crying or Very sad

Crap in a hand bag, wasn't a good day for me either, Sami stomped on the brakes to let his team mate T Kay by and I ran wide into the tires, car was unusable without pitting, , came in last.

I was doing good too, had moved up to 10th and was looking for 8th....next combo is a dream come true, I love the XFR, and I got a killer set for KY2.

I bet we still move up in team points after today, Hey Wakey, how did you and Izzy do?

Good to hear you have a great set for next race.

I was having good fun at the back ... overtaking and being overtaken ...
was looking good for 17th cause didn't look like DD-CapMan was gonna get past me ... then *blip* DC'd.
All i could see was my little LAN connection reconnect ... i couldn't believe it ...
2nd DNF in a row ... on a combo that i should have scored TONS of points cause of being in Pool3 and mothers day ...

Ah well, hope you guys in Pool 2 had more luck.

I rather liked the FXO combo we just had ... i'm not that good with GTR's and fast cars .. i'm more of a FWD man Smile

Ah well, the 23 laps i was on the server were the best i had in a very long time.
Next event i will prepare my network for it (remove router and plug modem directly into my PC) .. let's keep on racing!

-edit-
btw Ant, could you plz send that killer setup over for the next combo?

Looks like we got a Cabbie going into pool 1 for the next race, IZZY is on fire, he's got an 11th so far in the qual round with a 2:31 in the XFR @KY GP, Wakey is also looking strong and still has 1/2 of his qual laps left to go.

Go Cabbies Go.

Yeah you guys are on fire!

Let's hope your tires don't do the same during the race Wink

Loving this combo and Ant's set really suits me,I'm having a blast.
Burn a candle to spare me from "electrical problems" next race so I can finish it Wink

Race day today ... counting down to the start.

Pool 2 ... I'm about 2 secs slower in race mode than my qualy time.
Best bet is to take it easy and bring the car home ... the points in Pool 2 are great if you finish Wink

As i found out during the KA Race last night ... losing focus = punished hard, the walls are deadly if you don't roll it before getting there.

Anyway, good luck all!

So, how did you guys go?

I started from the back by request.
Worked out well as i avoided carnage and destruction in both the lag lap and normal start.

Drove a fine race, nothing too spectacular but i finished 13th, which is great since my goal was to finish the race and score full points for once.
Good to see Wakey end 7th!

I finished 9th after starting 11th and getting knocked back to 16th. Izzy finished 12th in Pool 1, really solid race by him.

This next combo will be a real hoot.

I'm having serious trouble with this combo ... i just can't go fast !!

Last pool for me it looks like ... gonna focus on getting a grip on the car for 12-13 laps before i pit ... we running R1's during the race? or R2 ?

I would go with the r1 unless you're burning up the tires before lap 12, then by all means use the r2's

Pool 4 is at 15GMT ... terrible.
Can't make that at all ... we're having family over that day and it's impossible to disappear for an hour.

I'm forced to cancel for this event.
All the other pools have great times, Pool 4 is just way too early Sad

Good luck with the race.
I hope to be in Australia by next event later this month.

Cheers,
