We need a server to practice on too again. Probably one with a password. If you knew how often someone interrupted me on a lap or wrecked me on public servers, you´d know why I make this suggestion.

Re: Grand Touring Amateur League
T7R servers was open for us to be used as a private one to train for GTAL.
Tonight we'll have confirmation to be in GTAL or not. If we are indeed accepted to take part I'll go talk to 3J again to see if we can modify the server to our GTAL training needs.

That's great GC, I'm still on the hunt for a reasonable priced server.
Quick question, I don't want to make any errors in name or skin name, could you show an example for both.
My XRR skin is named XRR_sccc2k316, and as I understand it my name for racing this series is
sccc|W.Skinner or is it just W.Skinner? If it's the sccc one I will have correct colors of white and yellow.
Please advise

If they do I´ll put "<3 T7R" on my plate
I think they will, T7R are a bunch of nice guys, and good racers aswell.

We´ll have to wear a special GTAL skin with numberplates, banners, our real names on it. That´s more sort of Colt´s job. We´ll get a number if we are accepted.
For example (for me (if our number was 08): 08 D.Engel

Re: Grand Touring Amateur League
Hello:
We are pleased to report that we have accepted your application to the 2010 Grand Touring Amateur League Season.
After review of your application, we have deemed that all drivers submitted shall be cleared at this time to race in the 2010 Season.
You will be assigned the number 24 for this season. We have on record your car choice as the XRR. You may change this at any time until your first official on-track session.
We will be making the skin kit available within the next week. We hit a snag which may require an element changed. You will be informed when the kit is available.
In the meanwhile, we would also like to invite you to our planned Test Event on Saturday, October 24th, 2009. The event will likely start at 18:00 UTC and be 2 hours of Aston Grand Touring. More information will be available soon.
You may continue to add drivers or remove drivers by sending an email to this address.
Regards,
New Dimension Racing

Re: Grand Touring Amateur League
Oh we got a toofer for our number
Ok i'm available for practice anytime, I'll drive whatever stint you guys decide on, we really need to get comms online so that we can practice handing the car off. I vote GC for team leader to decide things like pulling a guy into the pits to hand the car off as well as who drives what when.
This is going to be fun.

Re: Grand Touring Amateur League
Hi,
So, my personal biggest problem for the races is that I can not stay up for the entire races or do late stints until the February planned races. So we need some backup systems for our racers, eg. in case someone disconnects - what do we do then ? How do we contact eachother ?

Re: Grand Touring Amateur League
Mine is A. Rossomano
Also, I think we need to have at least 2-3 people on Ventrilo at all times for emergency stints and pit/car management.

I must admit AAnt I haven't followed the information about the league because I knew on forehand I could not participate.
But it looks it died a sudden death because I don't see other cabbies join as replacement.

Re: Grand Touring Amateur League
Yup, that seems to be the case, I just wanted to know if our application had been withdrawn so we don't look bad just not showing up.
At present it seems best not to take this kind of endurance on, but hey, the future is always open
